The Waki Report

It is time Kenyans took the bull by its horns and sort out the underlying issues that make our society so volatile. No report will be 100% and in this view, let us operationalise the recommendations of both Waki & Kriegler reports and seek self healing as a nation. It is time Kenyans and by extention Africans agree that we are tired of being the underdogs in the International Arena. And we can not change this unless we cement a cohesive society. No amounts of investments will hasten our development when we are still so restless and any progress made will be fickle as we saw early this year. Democracy and free will thrive in societies that have learnt to differ without creating wide schims amongst its people. The report may expose certain ugliness about ourselves but before we know how bad we are, we must face it then seek recorrective measures. Next election is not far, let us not hide behind the semblence of peace we have now to thwart the efforts of these two commissions. The world has too many problems to be constantly babying African man made issues!
