It´s true, but...

I am clearly in agreement with what the first comment states, for Che Guevara has mistakenly been taken as an outstanding political leader . There is no a valid argument to justify so much blood shed in the name of defending a revolution, and there is so much evidence blaming Guevara for having lead a fruitless economic transformation of Cuba. Next, I am also ecuadorian, and I have to say that the facts given by Simon to deny some assertions above described are totally true. However, what I can observe is that this sort of claim of Ernesto Guevara, which has been continually spread by media and left-wing supporters, is always presented when new left leaders such as Correa, Chavez or Morales are giving a speech. Finally, Ecuador is in serious trouble of maintaining democracy; especially for how Correas is leading his self-proclaimed " Citizen´s revolution". Just to mention, the last primary offical elections was nothing but a biased process in which fraud and intolerance are just two of the main problems detected, and that my friend, is not something by which Democracy is characterized.
