There's no shame in saying "I don't like xyz's music", be it Bach, Armstrong or whoever. It's all a matter of taste. So why not let the people decide. Certainly there are systems that can be used to do so. Think of SMS balloting and online balloting using internet capable phones OR the very simple meter of "clapping of hands".
