Petter Portin

Petter Portin, PhD is Professor emeritus in genetics at The University of Turku, Finland. He has studies meiosis as well as developmental genetics, specifically interaction of genes in Drosophila melanogaster. Further, he has studied the concept of the gene, theory of evolution, and has been interested in ethical issues of gene technology. He has published seven scientific books and approximately 195 papers on various aspects of genetics in scientific journals.
